Join us to celebrate Shakespeare's
birthday at one of Toronto's hidden gems - The Thomas Fisher Rare Book
Library at UofT - the largest publicly accessible collection of rare
books and manuscripts in Canada. We'll be treated
to a customized guided tour by JP Carefoote, Head of Rare Books and
Special Collections, which will highlight interesting gay and lesbian
pieces in the collection - yes including vintage porn and gay pulp
fiction. We will also be able to take in the current
exhibition which features photographs, both iconic and rarely seen,
taken by Allen Ginsberg, famous gay poet and a seminal figure of the
Beat Generation. After the tour, we'll take a short walk for our networking
gathering and drinks to "Her Father's Cider Bar and Kitchen" at 119
Harbord St. (wine and beer available too).
